Double Item:

Since there are two ice climbers, they can both pick up items. Your partner
does exactly what you do. Go to training mode (with the ice climbers) and
get two ray guns. Press A and each ice climber will pick up a ray gun. Now
when you shoot, your partner shoots also. You can also do combos, for example
a beam sword and a ray gun.
Grab and Smash:

Go to trainimng mode with the ice climbers. Grab your enemy, wait about
a half a second, then press over + A to do a smash attack (tap a, don't hold
it down). If done right your partner with use her smash attack which is
more powerful than the normal throw. When you are holding your enemy, you
can also press B and your parner will hit the enemy with her ice shot!
Main Menu:

If you are on a sub menu or the character select screen, you can get to
the main menu by holding down R and L and pressing start.
Start as Sheik, not Zelda:

When you choose zelda, hold A down when the loading screen appears. You
will here the transform sound and you will start as Sheik.
100 Man Melee:

I got a trick for the 100 man melee to get Falco. What I simply did is
I got Donkey Kong I went to the edge of the screen, looking at the center,
and pressed down+B for his hand slap all the way and I almost didn't get hurt.
It really works well.
Nario:

I have seen a glitch with Roy. Pick Roy vs. Mario(CPU Mario) and pick Pokemon
Stadium. Pause, look at the scoreboard and Mario's name will be spelled
"Nario".
Purin:
In Japanese, Jigglypuff's name is purin. Purin has a different voice than
Jigglypuff also. You can get Purin on any game, go to the options menu and
to the 4 one in japanese. Change the language to Japanese. Now if youv'e
played a while, you'll know the menus without having to read them. Go to
training mode and choose Purin. When your in japanese, some of the pokémon
from poké balls sound different also. A lot of character taunts are
in Japanese.
Why did they waste space putting Japanese stuff in an English Game?
Third Eye:

you go to the trophy gallery, check out Daisy. It's hard to spot this,
but you can do it. On the back of her head, she has a third eye! It's really
wierd, but it's there.
Too Late for Me:

On the bottom of the Barrel Cannon, it says the message "2L84ME" which
i guess would be true if your stuck in one.
Fox's Friends:

if u pick fox and on any of his two levels u press left, right, left, right
rapidly on the digital pad he will call his freinds and they will come in
their arwings and he will take about 5 seconds to call them and if u get
hit while u call them it wont work. try it!!!!
Japanese Bowser:

to get a different name and different chant with bowser is the same way
to do it with purin. his new name will be koopa and not bowser.
Japanese Fox Taunt

If you make the game japanese play 1-player or multi player,pick fox, and
when you get to the stage or start playing keep doing his taunt over and over
untill he says something different.
Hold Shiek Charge

pick Zelda,turn into Shiek,charge your needle spray until its charged all
the way and use your shield. Now you can walk,run whatever with shiek
while holding the charged needle spray. Press B to unleash them.
Records Go Down

This happened a couple times in cruel melee for me... i had a record like
2 or 3 for pichu and some other chars and when i was playing and only got
0 or 1 it would set the record to that (lowers record). I got my copy of
SSBM the day it came out so they may have fixed it in newer versions.
