Boss Battles

This page will describe Boss Battles and give tips on beating the bosses!

Boss Battles Mode: In the Boss Battles mode, you face the 8 subspace bosses plus each Hand in a randomized order (Tabuu always being last though). You have 3 hearts and no continues to beat them all. One thing to remember is to have patience, cause some of these bosses you can easily beat without taking damage, makin the other battles slightly easier. Also, the farther along you get in Boss Battles mode, the harder the bosses get.

Petey Pirahna

Story:
Mario and Kirby are fighting in the Floating Arena, with Zelda and Peach looking on. After the fight, the winner revives the loser, and the Halberd comes into sight. After fighting a bunch of subspace minions, Petey jumped onto the field by Mario, sending him flying away into the clouds. Kirby watches this, and turned when he hears screaming; Peach and Zelda have been magically trapped in the two cages Petey is holding, and must brake one of them free.

Strategies:
Somewhat of a pushover, you could easily beat him without taking damage, if you have the patience. One strategy is to use long range weapons on the cages from outside his attack radius, and only moving when he jumps. The safest places to be are on either the white part of the platform to the far right or left. If Petey is the farthest he can go to either side, the double white lines on the stadium floor show you about how close you can get to him while still being out of range.

Another takes advantage of characters with multiple jumps, or whose A^-Aerial attack lifts them up. During Petey's attacks, he never stikes anything near his face. So if you jump right in front of him, and keep attaking his head, you can stay in the air safely. Then, land in between his attacks.

Rayquaza

Story:
As Diddy walks through the forest, he finds a lake, by which an Arwing has crashed. As he goes to investigate the flaming wreck, Rayquaza shoots out of the water, and grabs Diddy. Rayquaza brings Diddy to the center of the lake, and as it looks like Diddy will about to become lunch, a glint of light is seen by the arwing, and Fox jumps out to save Diddy. After a couple more scenes, a fight begins between Rayquaza and the two heroes.

Strategies:

Rayquaza's two main posistions are at the right and left sides of the screen, just sitting on the ground. At the beginning of the match it spends a good amount of time there, so get in a strong attack or two. Just watch out for it's Tail Spin, which is it's only close range attack.

Other then that, my strategy has always been to just attack long range, and dodge a lot. Rolling is very important to escape the higher level thunder attack.

Depending on how Rayquaza leaves the screen, be prepared for different attacks. Going off to the sides means it will jet across the screen in attempt to run into you; going to the top means it will come from the sky and go into the ground; and going into the ground means it will come back up soon. The best way to beat this enemy is to know it's attacks.

Ridley

"You made me facepalm"

Story: As Samus and Pikachu are trying to escape from the Subspace Bomb Factory, and meet an unexpected enemy.

Strategies:So you are basically fighting on a flat stage with a flying enemy, much like Master Hand. Ridley sometimes flys quickly across the screen, flys in from the backround, or slams from the top of the screen down. The key is to basically avoid him for these attacks, and attack him in the lull, both characters have more then decent areial combat moves so you should be fine.

Meta-Ridley

Story: Remember how you beat Normal Ridley a while back? Well, Ridley decided to go to the blacksmith's for new armor, and is mad! You must defeat him before he destroys Captain Falcon's ship (2:00).

Strategies:
Tis is actually a really interesting battle, because of the time limit and the moving ship.

Duon

Story:

Strategies:

Tabuu

Story: Tabuu tries to takeover, this is the final battle.

Strategies:

Master Hand

Story: Although he does not appear as a boss in the Emissary, Tabuu manipulates him to get Ganondorf and Bowser to do as he wants.

Strategies: Honestly, he also is a bit of a pushover, because all of his moves are predictable.
Something else to note is that his bullets are reflectable, so Fox or Wolf users could wait on the ground and reflect them back for massive damage.

Crazy Hand

Story: He does not appear in the emmissary at all, but if you arrive at the final stage in 9 minutes or less with the difficulty level set to Hard or above, you fight him once Master hand's energy has been drained to half.
